BANKYA SPA RESORT

Bankya is a famous health resort located 17 km west of the centre of Sofia City. It is situated on the green hilly slopes of the Lyulin Mountain and is surrounded from the South and the West by colorful parks and gardens. Bankya is 640 m above sea level. The climate of Bankya is moderate-continental. The summer is refreshing, the autumn – warm and sunny and the winter moderate cold. From one and the same hydro-thermal deposit spring several natural and drilling hydro-thermal sources with water temperature of 24-37°C and general capacity of 24 l/sec. All these thermal waters are of low mineralization, hydro-carbon- sulphate- sodium, low water stiffness, clear, colorless, inodorous and with very good drinking quality. At the same time the mineral waters are silicon and slightly fluoric, with high alkaline react.
